Welcome! This blog was created for go-getters like you who are looking for information, ideas, and inspiration to improve their overall fitness. It contains food for the mind, body, and soul. Not only will you find workouts, how-to breakdowns, and exercise recommendations, but you’ll have access to uplifting entries about God and His word. At Fit Tank, I’ll post encouragement, knowledge, and support for your fitness journey. Whether you’re a weight-training veteran or just starting out, this blog is written with you in mind.
A little about me: I love fitness. Some would call me a hardcore fitness enthusiast, so hardcore, in fact, that I am a Certified Fitness Trainer (CFT) and an Advanced BodyPump Instructor. Although I don’t currently work as a trainer, I do teach BodyPump and enjoy lifting heavy weights. I’m one of those people who is proud of calluses on my hands—souvenirs from deadlifting expeditions; although, I was given hand grips for Christmas, so we’ll see how that goes.
I’ve decided to use my knowledge as a CFT to create this blog. There’s a big part of me that loves teaching and breaking things down, so much so that I got a degree in education. While I am the first to admit that I’m not perfect, flawless, or invincible, I will do my best to provide you with useful information, training ideas, lifting tips, motivation, and encouragement. Obtaining your fitness goals takes time, dedication, and consistency; it doesn’t happen overnight. Whether you’re seeking to lose weight, tone up, or build muscle, you’re welcome at Fit Tank. Together, we will take steps towards our goals and see the fruits of our labor.
As much as I love fitness, I love God more. He is to thank for everything good in my life and has played a vital role in my successes. From giving me mental strength during an important track race, protecting my body from injury, giving me the ability to walk, run, lift, inspiring me with motivation to work hard, and being my reason for living, God is always there for me. He cares about me and wants to be involved in every part of my life. Even at the gym, before a big lift, I remember that, “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13). Does that mean I will successfully complete the lift every time? No. We must put forth the effort in our training to advance, but God helps protect, motivate, encourage, inspire, and yes…strengthen. He will even help you stay the course and maintain discipline in your workouts if you ask Him.
